Our Story
Back in 1972, Johnsi Bakery began its journey as a humble neighbourhood bakery, serving authentic sweets, savouries and bakery items that soon became local favourites.Over the years, what started as a small family-run bakery grew steadily, rooted in taste, trust and tradition.
Founded by Mr. N. Ganesan, the legacy is now carried forward by his son, Mr. G. Jeyakumar (M.E. Structural Engineering). He has 12 years of the working experience in IT and return in 2012 with a vision to expand the family business. That same year, he introduced the cafe, leading to the growth of the brand as Gourmet Sweets Bakes and Cafe bringing timeless Chettinad flavours into a more modern experience, without losing the soul of the originals.
Today, Gourmet Sweets Bakes and cafe operates across Karaikudi, Thiruppathur, Pudukkottai and Aranthangi. The quality and taste, however, remain unchanged since day one.
